Rochester IBM Alumni Club Christmas Party 2024 Report

The 2024 Christmas Party was held on December 4 at Charlie’s Eatery and Pub. This was our first party at Charlie’s but what a great job they did for us. The food was really good and the service was fantastic. Everything was served at the tables so no one had to get up to get coffee or dessert or anything. Marty Jensen, once again, did his reverse bingo show and, as always, it was fun.

There were 76 attendees (2 others signed up but didn’t come). Once again, fewer people than in previous years but everyone seemed to enjoy the party. A number of people asked us to keep going with our events.

The day started with a little rain and a temperature of 35 degrees or so. The rain stopped, the temperature started dropping, and the wind picked up. On the way in and especially on the way out, there was lots of touching and holding on to one another and no one got blown over. The roads were clear for the ride home.

Many thanks to the club members who came and enjoyed the party. A special thank you to Judy Plank who, once again, took all the photos. Also, many thanks to the board members who helped with planning and setup – Joan Buske, Mary Zastrow, Nancy Morrison, George Heyne, Jim and Margaret Favre.
