Tiffany Bottoms Train Ride - May 18 2019
Thirty-six adventurous folks rode the Train on a somewhat chilly afternoon,
but we stayed dry the entire time. The Train run by the Chippewa Valley Motor
Car Association, took us 5 miles through Tiffany Bottoms along the Chippewa River
south of Durand, WI. We had several stops for informative talks by the Train crew
on the history and nature of the area, including the rare swamp rattlesnake. We
ended the day with wood-fired pizza and refreshments at the Stone Barn Pizza out
in the country. Clockwise: Informative stop; scariest part of the ride; refreshments
are in here; and, wood-fired pizza.
